Last Minute Birthday Card

I was just about to sign off my computer to go to bed when I noticed that I had an alert on my calendar. Shoot! I had forgotten it was one of my friend's birthdays the next day. Relucantly I drug myself out of bed and into my crafting space. I whipped up this cute little card in record time and attached a snickers bar. He loved the card because it was personalized (he plays football).

I used everday paper dolls cricut cartridege and all the paper came out of my scraps bin. The balloon and happy birthday are both stickers I found in my collection. I added some white string to the balloon to give a little dimension ot the card. I love how fast and simple it was.

Fashion; oh how it changes!

I have a box of tshirts sitting in my little craft space and honestly I don't remember where half of them came from. On multiple occasions it has become necessary for me to create a tshirt for a school project and if they're a good price I pick up an extra in case of an accident or for future use. Anyway, I was looking through this box and I saw a tshirt that was a Large. I wear a medium and it looked like a dress on me so I decided to really "dress" it up and make it fit me better.
Here is what I came up with. I cut strips in the shirt and then braided them.

I would be willing to make a video tutorial if anyone would be interested. I have only one follower, not that I'm complaining:), but I'd make a tutorial on request.

Cute as a button!

I was looking through some of the scrapbooks my mom has made and I came across a page of me when I was 2 years old. The caption at the top said "Cute as a Button!" I loved the page so much and really liked how she incorporated buttons into her page. It inspired me to do somethign crafty with buttons!

Here is the button bracelet I made. I had an empty bracelet chain in my collection so I just weeded through my buttons to find 4 of a kind and then added some little flower charms. I think it came out really cute and would be a great present for someone to whip up real quick.

My Quilt, as promised:)

Here are the pictures of my quilt as promised. My boyfriend is a really good baseball player and I thought it would be really cool if I could give him a quilt for his birthday so he could take it with him to college. I made it his college colors and picked out some really cute baseball fabric at Hobby Lobby.

Here is my sewing machine. I love her so much even though she spontaneously stops working and some days I swear she is PMSing cause the light won't turn on or the presser foot falls of two seconds after I tighten it.

My work space is limited right so I am constructing this quilt on our air hockey table. It works!

Here's a closeup of the really cute fabric I'm using. I love the colors together they just blend so well!
This is the stage I'm at now. I just have to piece my two big piece together. I was going to make the quilt 5' by 6' but at the last minute decided to make it a little bigger. Now its going to be 5' by 7'. I love how its turning out!

Busy Busy Busy

I've been quite busy lately and feel much like a chicken with its head cut off. I am trying my hardest to finish my online class before the deadline but for some reason Earth Science really isn't grabbing my full attention. Instead of working towards graduating I have been crafting :) I am in the middle of making a quilt for my boyfriend's birthday and it turning out really good. I'll post pictures when I get a chance.

New ATG gun

Oh boy did the holidays treat me well. I had alot of fun with family and friends. My most favorite present this Christmas was my absolutely gorgeous new ATG gun!! Gone are the days of constantly refilling my little adhesive rollers! GONE! I am in love with this little tool, although, I haven't come up with a name for it yet. As of now it remains nameless but I look forward to the future and all the fun memories I know we are going to share.
